How many pounds of Carne Asada meat should I purchase to feed 8 people?
I am making lunch for 8 people (4 males 4 females). How many pounds of Carne Asada meat should I get? I will also be serving rice, beans, tortillas and tortilla chips and salsa. We will BBQ the Carne Asada and two of the girls are fairly light eaters. I want to have enough meat for everyone but not have a ton left over.
I’ve always heard that if it is boneless meat, then figure 1/2 lb. or .5 per person, if it has a bone, then 1 lb. per person. for eight people I would say 3lb. ought to be more than enough with the girls. Have fun!
