i have a 1969 plymouth GTX…what does “GTX” stand for ?
I’ve had this car for a while now and no one can come up with a correct / logical answer to my question…is there intelligent life out there???
After some research, and many conversations among” Mopar guys ” the acronym GTX stands for Gentlemans Express. Seeing as the GTX was a top of the line model in their muscle car ventures. It was supposed to have other top of the line options not offered in the Road Runner models. The GTX came standard with a 440 engine and could be be optioned up to mighty 426 Hemi. Interior upgrades, chrome packages, and vinyle tops rounded out the upgrades not found on Road Runner models.
